This is why base preparation matters.

This lift and relay project is a perfect example of how patios fail when the wrong materials are used below the surface. Even with quality stone, an improper base will eventually lead to sinking, shifting, and safety issues.

By rebuilding the foundation correctly and paying close attention to details like step alignment, drainage, and tight stone cuts, this patio was given a second life — and will perform the way it should for years to come.
