【🎉 Panda Mom Jiajia Turns 14 at Shanghai Wild Animal Park! 🐼🎂】
On August 5, giant panda Jiajia celebrated her 14th birthday at Shanghai Wild Animal Park with a special fruit cake, "longevity noodles," flowers, and toys! 💐🍉
Her adorable fruit-stained face stole everyone's heart, while her twin cubs Qianran and Qianyi also received their pre-first-birthday health check. The park also launched a new youth panda conservation program to inspire the next generation of wildlife protectors. 🌿

【🎉 Happy 5th Birthday, Bao Li! America’s Panda Star Celebrates in Style 🐼🎂】
On August 4, giant panda Bao Li celebrated his 5th birthday at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. — his second birthday in the U.S.! 🇺🇸🎉
Keepers prepared a special "birthday cake" made of frozen pineapple juice with carrots, sweet potatoes and blueberries, plus his favorite enrichment toy—a giant marine fender! 🎁🥕
Bao Li and fellow panda Qing Bao are both healthy and have already shown curiosity about each other through a window. ❤️ Although they're still too young to breed, zookeepers are optimistic about their future.
Visitors from across the U.S. gathered to celebrate, while the Chinese Embassy hosted calligraphy and traditional cultural activities, making it a true cross-cultural birthday party! 🎨🐼

【🎼 Music Builds Bridges: Chinese & American Youth Connect in Xi'an 】
From August 2–9, a delegation of 39 students and musicians from Montgomery County, Maryland, is visiting Xi'an for an eight-day cultural and music exchange. 🎻🎶
Beyond rehearsals, the group explored the Xi'an Museum, admired ancient artifacts, dressed in beautiful Hanfu, and wandered through the dazzling Datang Everbright City. ✨🏮
American music teacher Silvan Negrutiu described the program as a "Musical Silk Road" connecting young people through friendship and culture. Students said learning Xi'an's rich history helped them better understand Chinese music traditions, while wearing Hanfu made them feel like part of the city's living heritage. ❤️
Since Xi'an and Montgomery County became sister cities in 2014, exchanges in education and culture have continued to flourish.
