New work for Bugera Lamb Fine Art

Bugera Lamb Fine Art has been part of Edmonton’s art community for decades. Though you might know it by other names and in other spaces, one thing that has never changed is its commitment to creating a great experience for artists, collectors, and admirers. Now under new ownership, Bugera Lamb Fine Art brings a fresh sense of curiosity and discovery to collecting art.

The gallery is unconventionally located below ground level on 124th Street, part of Edmonton’s Gallery Walk. Step inside, explore, and let them pull from their deep art stacks to help you find a piece that brings you joy and delight.

What inspires us?
We’re always inspired by the natural world, but especially this time of year with the glorious sunsets, rises, and changes all around us. It reminds us of the opportunity and power often hidden within change. Let’s be bold, and embrace change.

Stumbled upon some of our naming work for Pharmacy Brands Canada. In 2020 we named this line of Pharmacies, Mettra Pharmacy shedding the tired “drug store” feel.

Mettra is inspired by the precision of measurements required for pharmaceutical drugs. A play on “Metre”, which is derived from the Greek “metron”, meaning “measure” and “the basic pulse and rhythm of a piece of music or poetry”. Mettra phonetically sounds similar to “med-”, which gives it a familiar word association.

Let’s be honest here, who doesn’t love a PSL? Perhaps just one, and secretly finishing it in your car so no one sees. Playlist 002 blends all the fall flavours—warm, rich, and diverse. A little something for every vibe.

Sometimes, a piece of design work can be close to perfect objectively but subjectively not liked. Often, this is where the work gets really tough! Defending the design while being open to feedback is a valuable and crucial skill for successful design work.

Articulating Design Decisions by Tom Greever has played a vital role in sharpening our approach to this. We highly recommend this book as it’s a masterclass in presenting and defending your design work to clients. It’s a must-read for any designer looking to elevate their communication skills!
