Just imagine. Your aunts, uncles, cousins and parents, are wondering why you are running and racing more. What a beautiful world that would be.

Break 25min. in the 5k is officially LIVE 🔥🔥

I spent a long time feeling stuck.
Running the same pace. Wondering what I was doing wrong. Taking breaks. Starting again.

I didn’t need more motivation. I needed a plan that actually made sense for real life. Not one built around perfect weeks, endless energy, or zero setbacks.

This guide came from tired legs, skipped workouts, and learning how to adjust instead of quitting. From realizing progress doesn’t look dramatic. It looks boring, consistent, and patient.

There’s nothing flashy in here.
Just what worked.
The structure I wish I had earlier.
And permission to not do everything perfectly.

I made this guide for you.
If sub 20 is your goal, I have a separate guide available too. Just ask 💃

If you want to break 25 without burning out or hating running, this is for you.
If you’ve been close but not quite there, I see you.

No hype. No pressure.
Just a realistic way forward.

🤍🐰

No wins measured by pace or distance this year but 2025 still gave me a lot.

I ran. I showed up when I could. I listened when my body asked me to slow down.

I moved for joy, not performance. I took the pressure off and let running be fun again.

If that’s all I accomplished, I’m okay with that.

All I hope is that I get to do this again in 2026 🫶

Send me good vibes please 🤦🏻‍♀️

If you were in my shoes, would you still run a marathon, knowing you are coming back from injury and barely had a marathon training build but you go for the experience and to visit a new country🧐 Let me know your thoughts below, I’m struggling to decide at this point. 👇

Hoka Clifton 10 shoe review 🤍✨

Rating:
Comfort: 9/10
Feel: 10/10
Design: 9/10
Price: 9/10
Durability: 9/10
Overall: 9.3/10

Ideal for: easy runs and long runs
Features an 8mm drop
These shoes took absolutely no time to break in. They felt snug right away and fit like a glove. True to size and super comfortable, they’ve easily become my go to daily trainers for everything from easy runs to long runs and even workouts. The design is clean, aesthetic, and comes in so many colours. At $180 they hold their own against top tier shoes.

I used to be a New Balance girlie but got disappointed with the newer models so I started exploring other brands. Hoka wasn’t even on my list at first but after some research and dealing with an overuse injury all signs pointed here and wow they didn’t disappoint. If you’re looking for a reliable daily trainer this might be your sign 💯

The hardest part of being injured isn’t the physical pain. It’s losing the thing that makes you feel most like yourself. Running is the place where I feel the most alive, and without it there’s this strange emptiness that feels a lot heavier than it should. Maybe even a little crazy 🤪 or ALOT. Kudos to my partner who is dealing with my self-deprecating personality right now, not a fun time in this household 🙃 I can’t describe that feeling when your partner goes for a run, and you can’t. It just plain sucks.

All I know running elevates every part of my personality and when it’s gone, I feel like a shell of who I used to be. Ironically, am I boring without running?!

This whole experience has made it painfully clear how deeply running shapes my identity. When it’s going well, life follows. When it’s not, everything feels off. And even though I’m doing my physio exercises like they’re my full-time job, you’d think I’d be saving money by not running. Somehow I’m still buying shoes, race entries, and convincing myself it all counts as part of my “healing journey” 🙃

I’m going to have an abbreviated Tokyo build so here’s to being on the mend and running soon in a sustainable way. I can’t say that training for hyrox caused my injury but I’ll have to learn to do both without overloading my tendons.

Wishing all of those injured a speedy recovery and a gentle and steady rebuild when you’re back!! It’s not easy to be patient but it’s definitely worth it. I’ll be on the mend too, so sending positive vibes 💛✨
