Career growth looks different for everyone, but having the right support can make all the difference.

Kobi Poirier started at Inline as a Co-op Student and has since grown into the role of Project Administrator Manager.

When asked what helped him grow into leadership, Kobi highlighted the opportunities to build new skills, participate in leadership development, and learn from mentors who provided guidance, support, and valuable feedback along the way.

His advice for those starting their careers?

“It’s okay not to know everything at the start of your career. Seize every opportunity to learn something new, seek constructive feedback, and collaborate with others. Building relationships and being open to continuous improvement are key to professional growth.”

At Inline, career development means creating opportunities to learn, taking on new challenges, and growing over time.

Project Spotlight: Tsuut’ina Medical Centre

The Tsuut’ina Medical Centre project is a significant healthcare infrastructure development located near Calgary, Alberta, on Tsuut’ina Nation. Designed as an 18,330 sq. ft. medical facility, the project will bring essential healthcare services to the community while creating space for future growth and expanded care offerings. Featuring distinctive architectural elements and finishes, the facility is set to become both a vital community resource and a standout addition to the built environment.

Inline joined the project in 2025, supporting Elan Construction through a range of survey services critical to the successful delivery of the development. Our scope includes re-establishing property boundaries through ties to Canada Lands survey monuments, establishing site controls and benchmarks, and providing layout for underground deep services, electrical light bases, footings, foundation walls, interior columns, and gridlines.

Our team is also supporting site grading layout for parking and associated works, verifying anchor bolts and walls ahead of concrete pours, and completing volume surveys for quantity calculations. These services are helping ensure precision, coordination, and quality throughout the construction of this important community-focused project.

This project highlights Inline’s expertise in delivering high-accuracy survey support across complex infrastructure and institutional developments. From early site control to final construction verification, our teams help keep projects moving forward safely, efficiently, and with confidence.

The latest winner of our Photo of the Month competition is Jamie Miles for April!

This photo captures our team working in challenging spring conditions, using an Argo to reach remote areas and complete powerline sag LiDAR flights. Equipped to travel across ponds, bogs, and rough terrain, the Argo allows our crews to safely access locations that would otherwise be difficult to reach, keeping projects moving in even the toughest environments.

LiDAR enhances traditional UAV capabilities by using laser pulses to pe*****te vegetation like tall grass, shrubs, and trees—delivering highly accurate ground mapping that standard photogrammetry can't match. It's one of the many innovative solutions we bring to complex projects.

Great shot, Jamie! This photo highlights both the adaptability of our teams and the advanced technology we use to deliver precise results on complex projects.
