On March 18th from 6-9pm, .angus.yeg will be joining us once more to host InQ***ries’ 18+ Amateur Drag Night! This is a night for drag artists, whether they have drag experience or not, to come out for a fun night of performing and support! This is an +18 show, and IDs will be checked.

We have such a fun lineup of performers, including (but not only) Dexter Vex, Nixie Stick, Big Mac, .b.haven, .yeg , and !!

Student tickets are 5$ and guest tickets are 10$. You can buy tickets at our Showpass, which is in our LinkTree🫶🏻 Remember that tipping artists is also encouraged and appreciated!!

It’s election season! If you’ve been feeling the itch to help out with InQ***ries and our events, now’s your chance! All executive positions are open to be applied for.

Applications are open until March 21st, and then voting will happen from the 22nd - 25th! The new executive team will be announced at our meeting on the 25th 🎉

We are encouraging all performers, whether you have drag experience or not, to come out for a fun night of supporting local drag! The only requirement is that all attendees and performers must be 18+. IDs will be checked.

Calls for performers are open until March 8th! You can perform solo, or with others, and not everyone has to be a student! Just be sure to fill out the required form and read all information on it! Note that performers are not accepted until they recieve email confirmation of their performance slot. Performance Applications can be found on our Linktree, or in our Discord.

Raw Angus will be joining us again in March to host InQ***ries’ Amateur 18+ Drag Show! That’s right y’all, we’re hosting a drag show for drag babies (experienced performers also allowed, but newbies will be prioritized)! So if you’re interested in performing, get a leg up by coming to the makeup workshop to get insider tips and tricks!!

In January, some InQ***ries executives had the pleasure of going to a local high school and giving a presentation on the importance of strengthening community. Presentations like this are important during this time, because they help us all band together and learn.

InQ***ries would like to take this time to remind everyone that we are committed to harbouring and creating safe q***r spaces for everyone. Not just MacEwan students. Our community extends to all of you.

We are refreshing our call to Albertan school or youth GSAs who may be needing support in fostering q***r joy. Us at InQ***ries would like to extend an offer to visit your school/facility and speak to q***r futures.

Join us tomorrow from 3-5pm in the CSGD Common Room (11-156) for a discussion circle on conversion therapy in North America.

This event is in collaboration with ’s Q***r Horizon’s Speaker Series — A series which explores and supports q***r research and community work.

On Thursday, Lucas Wilson will be presenting on Conversion Therapy in North America at the CSGD from 5-6:30pm.
There will be a panel after the presentation for a chance to further discuss what Wilson will be presenting.

This discussion circle is to help get the gears turning for tomorrow’s panel, as well as a safe and private place for you all to share any stories or thought you may have on conversion therapy.

On Jan 16 at 9 PM, is bringing an all-q***r lineup of comedians to , and InQ***ries members get 25 percent off by using the code INQUEERIES at checkout.

Their amazing lineup features Toronto’s Sam Sferrazza (CBC Gem, Just for Laughs Toronto, Winnipeg Comedy Festival), special guest Sophie Haze (Montreal Gigglefest), and Leif Oleson-Cormack (Edinburgh Fringe, Seattle International Comedy Competition) as emcee.

Headlining the show is Calgary’s own, Gabby Rose, who performs all across Canada. Her comedy blends bold storytelling, chaotic inner thoughts, hot takes, and sharp, self-aware jokes that always land.

Come out for a night of q***r comedy, community, and big laughs!

Join us on December 8th from 3 - 6pm for our last event of the Fall semester!

There will be a paper crafting station and some snacks available! Members are also encouraged to bring their own projects to work on as well!

We ask that all presentations be kept to 5 minutes only and be PG-13 content with minimal swearing. You can present on anything you want as long as it follows the standard InQ***ries constitution!
