Unfortunately, due to personal reasons, I've made the difficult decision to step back from Believe for now.

This hasn't been an easy choice, as Believe means a great deal to me — especially the opportunity it gave me to support and the vital work they do for survivors on their healing journeys.

I hope that one day in the future, I'll be able to bring Believe back to life.

Since we just hit 100 followers, I figure it's time to introduce myself and share my story. My name is Jenny, the founder of Believe, I started the initiative to support survivors of sexual assault, drawing from my own experience of being abused by my grandfather as a child. For over 20 years, I suppressed the trauma, but recurring nightmares eventually led me to seek therapy. Through professional support, I began healing and learning coping mechanisms. Motivated to help others, I explored volunteer opportunities but found few that suited me. I then decided to raise funds to cover therapy costs for other survivors. After connecting with the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE), I chose to support their existing programs rather than start from scratch, ensuring more survivors could access free counseling and start their healing journey.
