I recently had the honour of meeting with the Indigenous students at St.Vladimir School for their Gathering Circle to share with them some general knowledge of ribbon skirts & the importance, values and history of the subject. We then talked a little about some very powerful Indigenous women in our province and country who are out there paving the way for indigenous recognition, inclusion and authenticity. Showing us that we can do anything we put our minds to as long as we believe in ourselves.

After playing a few songs for the students one of the classmates was extremely brave and played guitar for all of us ! I’ve always embraced and enjoyed watching children find confidence and express themselves through music and performance. 🎶🎸😊

Lastly had the cutest craft shop where we had the chance to make mini ribbon skirts to take home. It was so nice to see the creativity come out of each child’s skirt . 💃🏽👗

It is so nice to see schools encouraging and providing opportunities for our youth and our people to learn more about our story & culture. When I was a little girl these open doors were very much closed, we’ve come far and will keep going 🪶❤️

What an incredible weekend at the 15th Annual Awards.

Was a true honour to be nominated for the Community Spirit Award alongside so many incredible artists who devote their time and resources to helping our community.

Big congrats to for taking home the award for the humanatarian work he does for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Congratulations to all the other nominees and winners in each category this weekend you all are winners in my eyes! Alberta country music has got some of the best talent I have ever seen!! ✨🎶

Lastly I want to say thank my family for all your love and continued support.

Especially my husband who came to his very first Country Music of Alberta Awards this year. These dreams wouldn’t happen without you. You bought me my first guitar like Doo Little Lynn, you watch the kids and ticker like Carl Dean and you write songs alongside me like George Jones. I love you sweetheart!! Xx
