This is the time of year I pick people’s jaw off the floor... 

When I tell them we got 4 kids, 3 schools, and 2 school districts. OH! and yep, my husband is still in the middle east for another 3ish weeks.

That’s the reality of this school year, it’s not the first time. And before you ask, nope, my kids aren’t the “go to school and come straight home.” type. 🙃

We’re talking sports tryouts starting day one, art shows, basketball and volleyball practices and games (before club even starts), and all the random “don’t forget to wear green tomorrow” school spirit days that pop up. 

For years, I would spend HOURS managing and trying to remember it all. Literally running myself into the ground with biz in one lane, and mom life in another. Constantly feeling like I was scrambling at the last hour.

But here’s what I’ve learned: scrambling isn’t a badge of honor. 
It’s f**king exhausting. It’s unsustainable (hi, I fainted in a Wal-Mart toy aisle). And It’s not the CEO or mom I want to be.

So I built systems that let business and life talk to each other.
→ Each school calendar feeds into my Google Calendar.
→ Every new event runs through it’s own ‘zap’

So that? Biz tasks and mom tasks live in the same system. There’s no “what was booked first” tantrums or having to cancel on clients.

I know what’s coming, I know what needs to be done, and I don’t lose my sh*t trying to juggle it all.

Balance was NEVER the goal. Synchronization is.
