We're proud to welcome our next Bustin' for Badges sponsor - Akash Homes!

This team doesn't just build beautiful homes... they help build a safer, stronger Edmonton. One of their leaders, Hersh Gupta, also serves on our Board of Directors and has been instrumental in laying the foundation for this year's event.

Hersh has gone above and beyond by connecting us with new sponsors and securing incredible silent auction items that will help raise even more funds to support EPS initiatives that keep our community safe.

Thank you, Hersh, and thank you to the entire Akash Homes team for everything you do for Edmonton. Your commitment to partnership and community impact truly makes a difference.

The Edmonton Police Service joins the Ontario Provincial Police in mourning the death of OPP Constable Tarun Bali. Constable Bali was killed in the line of duty this afternoon in Hearst, Ontario.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues.

No matter the badge, we stand together in our commitment to protect and serve.

Today, we’re proud to spotlight another Bustin' for Badges sponsor!

Salloum Wealth Management has made a powerful impact with a $10,000 contribution to our event.

Their support of the Edmonton Police Foundation spans generations — from the late Bud Salloum’s involvement in the Spotlight on Safety campaign in 2001 to his son David's ongoing commitment today.

David continues to champion community safety, supporting both Bustin' for Badges and the EPS Tactical Section, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

It’s inspiring to see a legacy of giving that truly runs in the family. Thank you, Salloum Wealth Management!

Meet Pete and Shari MacKay, two outstanding Edmontonians!

Ten years ago, they founded the MacKay Canine Cares Fund, an initiative dedicated to covering veterinary bills for retired police service dogs (PSDs), ensuring they enjoy a happy, healthy retirement.

Pete and Shari invite everyone to support the EPS Canine Unit and retired PSDs by making a donation through the Edmonton Police Foundation at www.edmontonpolicefoundation.com.

A big thank you to Pete and Shari for their generosity and for setting such an inspiring example for our community.

Join us in expressing our gratitude to Ashif Mawji, who served his last day on the Edmonton Police Foundation Board of Directors yesterday. Since joining in 2015 and leading as Board Chair from 2017 to 2024, Ashif's leadership has been nothing short of transformative.

He spearheaded initiatives like the Community Safety and Wellness Accelerator and the Safety of Our Cities conference, addresses complex safety challenges. His exceptional fundraising skills and entrepreneurial insight have also played a significant role in our success.

Though we could sing his praises endlessly, we'll simply say: Thank you, Ashif, for your dedication in elevating the EPF and making Edmonton a safer, healthier city for all.

We have a BIG smile on our faces!

This year, the Smile Cookie Campaign raised $423,377.92, an increase of more than $30,000 over last year.

Thank you to everyone who supported the campaign. Every shift, every cookie, and every conversation mattered. Together, you helped make this one of our most successful campaigns yet, raising meaningful funds to help build safer futures for youth across our city.

And a huge thank you to Tim Hortons for once again choosing the Edmonton Police Foundation as this year’s charity recipient in Edmonton.

Just 3 weeks until our sold-out Bustin' for Badges event, and it’s time to spotlight our first sponsor — Loblaw Companies Ltd!

As our Big Buck Sponsor (again!), they've set their sights on making this event a true success. Their generous cash support, along with donations of snacks and silent auction items, is sure to keep us all on target for a fantastic experience. We're thrilled to partner with a team that understands safety is a community effort!

We're deeply saddened by the loss of one of Edmonton's most caring and generous souls, Gerald "Bud" Salloum. Bud was a dedicated supporter of many organizations, including the Edmonton Police Foundation. In 2001, he was instrumental in fundraising for Edmonton’s first police helicopter, a pivotal moment for community safety.

His commitment continued over the years, inspiring many, including passing on his passion for safety to his son, David. Bud’s compassionate contributions have left an indelible mark, making our community a safer place for all.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family.
