For the week of October 8th to October 14th, 2024, Edmonton’s real estate market showed steady seasonal trends, reflecting a typical autumn slowdown. New residential listings saw a decline, while sales numbers continued to be competitive due to lower inventory levels.
Days on market have increased for most property types, reflecting the cooling seasonal demand. Detached homes averaged 37 days on market, while condos took longer at 48 days. Overall inventory has decreased compared to September, contributing to elevated competition among buyers.
With recent changes in mortgage policies aimed at making homeownership more accessible, there may be new opportunities in the market as buyers adjust to higher interest rates and lower availability
