Something to think about...

Had an amazing time with Calvary's young adults last night at our "Missions Movie and Worship Night". We shared a foreign meal 🍽️, worshipped the Lord 🙌, prayed for our missionaries 🙏, and watched a movie with popcorn in hand 🍿📽️. Thanks to all who attended and to those who helped organize it. 🤗👍

We hope to see you tomorrow at our Missions Extravaganza during fellowship time after the service. We will hear from Marc and Kelly Zerbin who serve in Mexico.

Afterwards, they will be hosting a get together and fundraiser in Sherwood Park. If you're interested or able to attend, consider attending to support some of our Church supported missionaries.

• M- Thank you for praying for M’s family as they have a child in the hospital right now. Please pray for the Lord’s peace, presence, healing and ministry to surround the family.

• S- As we pray for S, who has a high influence in their sphere, pray for the Lord’s continued protection over them and that God would continue to move powerfully through them, revealing Himself more and more.

• L- For this ministry that they work in- we praise God for His continuing to work behind the scenes and for His consistent and faithful provision! We also pray that He will continue to sustain the workers and volunteers, and that every aspect of this ministry would be overflowing with the love of God!

Adam and Jena Denmark:

Thank you for praying for Adam as he prepares for the trip to Ghana and Liberia this June! Pray that they don’t have any more set-backs as they gear up to go to disciple leaders from 8 different countries! Please also pray for Jena as she continues to share the gospel in her prison ministry and as she cares for the children at the Celebrate Recovery Program!

James and Corinne Loewen:

Thank you for continuing to pray for our friends as they minister to refugees. Please pray for these refugees' safety, protection, and that their hearts would be soft to the gospel! Please also pray that Jesus would bring full and true freedom to them.

Praise from Pakistan!:

The area surrounding Osama Bin Laden’s former compound in Abbottabad, has been frequented by Mission’s Cry over the last year. They have been handing out Bibles, seeing many people come to Christ, and discipling them through their G300 program!

Happy Easter Calvary! Lets pray for Missionionaries at home and abroad! 👏

Turkey and Syria:

In the midst of the devastating earthquakes, one of our Canadian-based Organizations felt the Lord tell them to start counting lives miraculously spared. They found that the Lord continues to be at work. We’re so encouraged by the story of children who were trapped and buried for days because when they were rescued, they had no signs of dehydration! They explained that “a man in white” came and brought them food and water.

James Bekecs:

We’re so grateful for James who continues to work with Youth Rise here in Millwoods! Please pray for continued encouragement for him, and his team, as he invests in the youth. And please pray that the kids would have mighty encounters with God!

Larry & Marbi:

We continue to pray for Larry and Marbi as they come alongside Latin American pastors, coaching and encouraging them in the vision of being missional. Please pray that they would have divine conversations to care well for these pastors, and that they themselves would be blessed with continued wisdom and vision.

Praise Report!

Exciting news in the Philippines- since the global pandemic the interest in the Gospel has significantly increased! Filipino churches responded to the crisis by caring for physical needs (including school scholarships and hospital visits). As they shared the message of Jesus, many have been committing their lives- including 300 people who were ministered to at a wake.

Glyn and Jane Davies:

Thank you for continuing to pray for Glyn and Jane as they work with Education for Life, providing education for the local communities around Mombasa, Kenya. Please pray that their students would continue to accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour, and use their positions to impact their nation for His kingdom!

Ukraine

As Easter is drawing near we remember that thousands of families continue to be displaced. Please pray for our brothers and sisters who have had to flee their homes, and for those who continue to bring encouragement and practical care to them.

After a bit of a break, let us return with some prayer!

We’re so grateful for the ways the Lord is moving globally. This month in Vietnam 4,500 people have accepted Christ as their Savior during a 2-day evangelistic event!

Thank you for continuing to pray for Lee and Linda as they represent Jesus, sharing their testimonies and encouraging ambassadors and business leaders around the world. Please continue to pray for divine opportunities for them to share Jesus, whether at home or in their travels!

Please continue to pray for our friends James and Ann as they continue to evangelize to and disciple students! During April 26-30 James will be co-directing a camp where students will intensively study the book of Mark. Please pray for non-believing students to be inspired to sign up and to commit their lives to Christ.
