Significant difference between my left and right, which to me is super odd! My left one is slowly forming definition and the right is still rehabilitating, but weāre getting there. Weāre back to upper body workouts which has been exciting, Iām able to do the treadmill with minimal discomfort, if any. Things are moving in the right direction this time around! So how are YOU moving lately? What are YOU working on?

Real talk - itās been MONTHS since Iāve had a regular gym routine. Literally since November, itās now May. I had a flare up of my shoulder from the car accident last June (almost a year ago now) in the beginning of December. I was down for the count and basically not able to do much of anything. For THREE. MONTHS. Talk about depressing⦠walking hurt, exercise wasnāt even a thought. However, through SLOW reintegration into exercise and everyday activities, Iām finally back on a semi-regular routine. Am I at it everyday? Nope, but Iām getting there, itās going to be a long road to recovery, no barbells for a while yet (š), but weāre back to strengthening the legs and rehabilitation of the shoulder and lats - peep the tape on my right shoulder. What have you been working on?!

Truth bomb š£: I am a bigger girl. I have curves, I have struggled with weight loss, I had an accident last summer that has impeded my gym progress, I am fae from perfect. But you know what Iām not? These pictures were about a month apart. The difference is astounding⦠this was all from changing my eating habits slightly and exercising lightly 3-4 times per week. I didnāt eliminate any foods, I didnāt cut out snacks I enjoyed, I didnāt change my diet, I just simply ate with more of a conscious mind and counted calories. My point is, you donāt have to eliminate your favourite foods entirely, I just ate them more sporadically and included better calorie choices, along with higher protein intake to keep my fuller longer. Are my days always perfect? NOPE šāāļø but I always get right back at it the next day.

Hereās the deal⦠if youāre making progress, regardless if itās leaps and bounds or little hills, itās still progress. You donāt need to stress about trying to look like your favourite fitness model in a month, progress is not linear!
For example, I was doing great healing from my accident, slowly getting back into lifting dumbbells and light preweighted barbells, then bam⦠2 weeks ago it came to a halt. Lower body only⦠even though I did only lower body for TWO MONTHS STRAIGHT. Am I frustrated? Absolutely! Who wouldnāt be?! Am I still ensuring I make progress? You best believe I am! Itās up to YOU and YOUR mindset if whatever sets you back will keep you back or have you pushing forward!

Feeling like your mindset is always pushing and spewing bull š© and negativity?! Sometimes the best way to see success is to just start telling yourself youāre successful. Is it easy? NOPE. Is it going to change overnight? Not even close. But is it going to eventually make a difference? Youāre damn right it is!
