💙 Bret turns 1 this month! 🎂 I can’t believe it’s been one year since we were blessed with this little one. It was a year of snuggles, sleepless nights, diaper blowouts and firsts of all kinds. We had moments of sheer joy and utter exhaustion. New stages to navigate and childproofing to tackle, which we are almost complete 😂.

Scooting, rolling and crawling; standing, cruising and walking … when we are not looking 👀. The best belly laughs with dad, loving smiles and mischievous eye twinkles. 😉 Already one year into this whole parenting thing means we are pros at packing a diaper bag, doing everything one-handed and experts at cutting grapes into 1/8ths. Mark and I are top-notch choo choo train conductors, music makers and book readers. Our moos and oinks are on par with real farm animals. We love teaching you everyday, watching you learn and grow. 😍

Even when things felt tough or overwhelming, we did it and it is all worth it! A big happy Birthday to Bret Rocky Hugh and thank you to my partner for an amazing year I can’t wait to see what is next on this wild journey of parenting. 🥰❤️

We all have busy days, hard days, it's important to take time for you. Here are some tips to make sure your mental health stays in a good state 🙂

✅ Take a 10-minute walk every day to get some fresh air.

✅ Celebrate the small victories and acknowledge how far you've come.

✅ Outsource when you can, whether that means business-related tasks or homemaking duties.

✅ Set a cut-off time for answering emails, phone calls, etc. so you have time to unwind and enjoy your evening.

I work out every morning from 6:00 - 6:30 am. 🏋️‍♀️ Just like with posting on social media, consistency is key! Working out consistently has lowered my stress levels, improved my strength and made me sharper and more creative at work. ⁠
