What is Diss-Or-Daps?
The weekly podcast that is filmed in front of a live audience where Rappers/audience members put their names in the bucket and are randomly selected by the show hosts 'J-Reds' & 'Poltergeist' & given 60 seconds uninterrupted to rap on stage.
They then rap acapella or spit a written / freestyle over a randomly selected beat. When their 60 seconds is up they will be cut off, and then comedically interviewed by our hosts.

Each event will feature the following:
- Special Guest Host
- Featured DJ
- Touring Headliner RapPER
- Mystery Set from Unannounced Artist
- Free EDM Dance Show Following The Event

Community Support:
A small portion of subsidized tickets are available for people who don't want to miss out on community involvement but are struggling financially. Please email [email protected] for details.

Contenders can win show opportunities, and creative services for their careers such as; Lyric Videos, Music Videos, Audio Recording, Graphic Design, Web Design, & More!
Rap Show Performers:
The performers are awarded points for their dedication to Diss-Or-Daps and are offered future show opportunities in order from most to least accumulated points.

FKB is a high-energy, four-piece alternative rock band based in Edmonton; influenced by the mystique, glamour, and excess of the 1960s-1980s entertainment business. Their infectious, falsetto-driven “Beautiful Fantasy” (2021) is FKB’s latest release:

“’Beautiful Fantasy’ is us finding a way to connect our influences from the past, like The Beatles, Elvis Presley, and The Beach Boys, with the modern sounds of Foster The People, Portugal the Man and The Weeknd,” says Shalka. “We wanted to draw from the excitement of our live shows and give people something they can dance to.”

Formed in Bonnyville, Alberta, the band is fronted by JUNO Award-nominated songwriter (2019), Drew Shalka, and features Travis Topylki (lead guitar), Derek Chalut (drums), and Alex Fedorouk (rhythm guitar).

In 2019, they won the Edmonton edition of the Jim Beam National Talent Search, which culminated in a showcase performance at Canadian Music Week. Bellamy, a JUNO Award winner and SOCAN Songwriter of the Year, has produced all of FKB’s music, including “Bright Lights”, which was nominated for Adult Alternative Recording of the Year at the Edmonton Music Awards.

FKB has performed over 200 shows across North America since 2017.

Positions: Festival Founder & Director
Our fearless leader Levi Quartly is pretty deflective of the spotlight, so the fact we're even making a post highlighting the captain is already basically going rogue. 😉

After over a decade of contributing to a plethora of projects focused on the live events & music festival communities; Levi birthed an idea that blossomed into our annual gathering which celebrates creativity, togetherness, freedom, and resilience.

Deeply-rooted in the High Prairie community, it became apparent that a mutually beneficial relationship could exist between the festival and the town itself. Inter.Sect's desires and wishes to work with the county at every possible cornerstone has helped to establish a solid working relationship that maximizes safety and positivity.

Levi has held positions at a multitude of festivals and live events teams around Western Canada, and that experience has led him to this position. Sometimes he can be a little quiet, so don’t hesitate to say 🚀 🚀
