The wait continues... Nothing is OFFICIAL at the moment.
Thought to put this out there to cancel out feedback from 'content creators' desperately seeking engagement.

Marco Silva says Jorge Cuenca 'stepped in' while Calvin Bassey was away at the AFCON, and it appears he (Silva) isn't starting Bassey anytime soon.
I hope Bassey’s agent is talking to Lookman's by now. No way Bassey is sitting out for too long.
Nigeria's World Cup dream STILL very much ALIVE!
Do NOT let anyone tell you otherwise!

At 28, moving to Atletico Madrid on a 4 year deal (not 2 ooo), €6m - €7m salary per season, plus the perks and respect that comes with playing for such a high-profile club — Super Eagles players should be lobbying Lookman by now to hook them up with his agents.
I mentioned Lookman played at the AFCON like: "Ama di* here! No going back to Atalanta"... now, the rest is history.
Congrats Adebọbọ 🔥

Akor Adams rose from the bench for Sevilla to net a brace— including a high-pressure penalty in the 92nd minute to force a hard-earned away draw at Elche after the home-side had gone two goals up by the 55th minute.
Sevilla manager—Matías Jesus Almeyda, obviously quickly tapped into Akor's current mindset following his well-taken strike in the high-stake penalty shootout in the bronze medal game vs Egypt.
Akor back with a bang in the Laliga... looking like he never left 🔥

Morocco would need more than bias officiating and crowd intimidation to survive this fierce 4-2-2-2 system — Police roadblocks everywhere lol
What a final ahead 🔥
(Rooting for Senegal lowkey 🤫)
I have absolutely nothing to add to this!
... Thank you & I love you ❤️

I am yet to see a Super Eagles manager who makes mistakes, learns from them, and apply corrections IMMEDIATELY as much as Eric Sekou Chelle... 0% arrogance, 100% accountability!
With this type of mindset... something is cooking 🔥
P.S:
1. He has never lost a game "as a manager" at the AFCON in regulation time.
2. He has never lost a game "as Nigeria manager" in regulation time & open play.

vs South Africa (2023) ➡️ 2 saves
vs Congo DR (2025) ➡️ 2 saves
vs Morocco (2026) ➡️ 1 save
vs Egypt (2026) ➡️ 2 saves
Hate or love , no goalkeeper in the modern history of Nigerian football that 'I am aware of' (open to correction) has consistently rescued Nigeria in "crucial shootouts" more than Stanley Nwabali.
You have my respect! 💪🏽
Let's do the RIGHT thing.
A humble appeal to honourable and legendary
This whole time, Chelle was just trying to patch things up, to make something out of nothing. Now is when you will see his real team.

First half Analysis ⏰️
1. Expectedly, a very high-tempo, disciplined game. However, our double-pivot MUST assert themselves a lot more, they are currently second-best in most duels. This MUST change in the second half.
2. Nigeria's backline must find a way to play higher. The deeper we sit, the more intense the pressure. We did that successfully in the first 10-15 mins, hence, we controlled the game through that spell. We must find a way to reenact that.
3. Chelle must find a way to get Lookman more on the ball, and this can only happen when the double pivot are dominant enough to break lines and turn-over the possession. Quick turn-over of possession inevitably leads to quick transition.
4. Understandably, our wingbacks can't get out. With Hakimi, Diaz and Saibari breathing down their necks, that is quite understandable. If they can't get out, they MUST make sure these 3 players don't get past them too.
Bottom line, our double-pivot MUST rise up to the task—Onyedika especially has been caught flat-footed a couple times already. We need to be more aware in the midfield and move the ball quicker.
