A big thank you for helping make our community shine this past year! Also, a big THANK YOU to those who have already renewed.

Thanks to your support, our streets were graced with colourful Community Banners — each one proudly displaying local businesses who care about Eastern Passage and Area.

As we head into the 2025–2026 season, we’d love for you to renew your Banner Apron Sponsorship and continue showing your community spirit. Additionally, sponsorship is open to all businesses this year !

How the Program Works

Each November, our Community Banners come down to make room for Remembrance Day Banners honouring our veterans. By early December, our Welcome – Community – Seasonal Banners return, with sponsored aprons attached to highlight local supporters like you.

Your sponsorship helps cover banner installation/switch over, maintenance, annual insurance, storage, and hardware — keeping this beautiful project sustainable year after year.

Sponsorship Details

Apron Sponsorship:
$250 per year/per side (all community businesses) / $100 per year/per side Non Profit

Display Season: December 2025 – October 20256

Renewal Deadline for Past Sponsors: October 31, 2025

Final Purchase Deadline: November 1, 2025

Each member can sponsor up to four aprons (subject to availability). Past sponsors receive first priority before we open remaining spaces to new participants.

Industry exclusivity applies — one business type per apron side.

📣 Call for Submissions – Veteran Community Banner Project 🇨🇦
We invite families from Shearwater, Eastern Passage, and Cow Bay to honour their loved ones who served in the Canadian Military. The Veteran Community Banner Project is now accepting submissions for banners to be displayed in November 2025.

Support your Community Banners Program .. the aprons that hang off the banners are now open to all community business and nonprofit groups.

Limited spaces and more details to follow. You can send an email to [email protected] to request an apron and more information.

Past supports will have first renewal opportunities and information on renewal will be sent out later this week.

The aprons are on the banners from Dec to the following end of Oct.

Deadline is Oct 31, 2025 for purchase.

Community Banners Program

Thank you to the EP 164 Legion for the support of $2,500 towards the Veterans Banners and the Community Banner Project ❤️

Just a note that the veteran banners are scheduled to be switched out this week back to the community banners and seasonal banners. Additionally, there will be four new community banners that can be seen near McCormicks beach parking lot area. Originally, the switch out was scheduled for last week, but due to poor weather conditions and high winds things were delayed.

2024 Remembrance Day and Veterans Banners being installed today. Thank you to Minute Man Press and team for the installation.

Thank you to the Eastern Passage Royal Canadian Legion CAEN Branch 164 and the Poppy Fund for their $1,600 donation to the Community Banners Project for the Veterans Banners … this November will see 15 new Veterans honoured throughout our community. - Mel Zilkowsky- Chair - Eastern Passage & Area Business Association

New Veteran Banners are close to being sent in for production. Get a sneak peak of the Veterans being honoured this year. The 2024 Remembrance Day Banners will be installed early November before being switched back to our community/seasonal banners (early December) including 4 new Community Banners that will be displayed near the boardwalk
