That little square block in my hand only shows a fraction of a single growth ring. It cannot show you the massive, dramatic sweeping curves of the grain, the intense character near the bark, or how the cathedral patterns change over a 120-inch span.

You should choose a custom builder based on their attention to detail and eye for wood grain matching and raw slabs. A great maker doesn’t just cut wood to size; they study the giant slab to make sure the natural movement of the tree aligns perfectly with the project.

Steal our secret to keeping teak golden and stopping the dreaded grey. 🪵☀️

Teak is the absolute king of outdoor hardwoods, which is exactly why we used it for these custom restaurant tables. It is naturally packed with oils that fight off rot and weather, making it the ultimate choice for high-traffic commercial spaces.

However, if you leave raw teak out in the sun, UV rays will eventually oxidize the wood and turn it a dull, silvery-grey. While some people like that weathered look, if you want to keep that rich, luxury golden glow, you need a professional system.

Our outdoor finish of choice is Saicos special outdoor Coating. If you need maximum weather resistance and dirt repellency, Saicos premium outdoor oils pe*****te deep into the grain to block UV damage without trapping moisture inside the wood.

As a quick pro-tip, make sure you clean the wood thoroughly before applying either product, because if you seal over dirt, you trap it forever.
