If you live in the Cowichan Valley Regional District, PLEASE COMPLETE THIS SURVEY BY MARCH 18!!! Let CVRD know how you feel about their services and share about your experiences working with them.

As a farmer in the electoral areas, we are deeply dissatisfied with the services being provided by the CVRD. The lack of support from our local government presents a huge risk to agriculture and food security in our region. Farmers are not the only ones being affected and we all have a responsibility to engage in this process.

Please be thoughtful, honest, and respectful with your communication. CVRD needs to hear from all of us so they understand the extent of the problem and the impacts they are having on the community so they can come to grips with that truth and start to implement meaningful change to address it.

The 2025 Community Satisfaction Survey update is happening now across the Cowichan region!

Why take the survey?
Conducted by Leger, this is the fourth Community Satisfaction Survey undertaken by the CVRD since 2011. The statistically valid survey will gather data from approximately 400 residents to gauge quality of life, the delivery of programs and services, as well as how best to inform and engage the public.

The Community Satisfaction Survey gives voice to residents, business-owners, employees, shy people and outgoing people, people who are new to the Cowichan area, and those who have been here for decades.

This allows us to hear many opinions, not just from those who usually comment or attend meetings. Your feedback is important and we appreciate your participation.

And did we mention – you could win one of two $100 gift cards for CVRD recreation facilities!

It’s lambing season!!! Another set of triplets were born this morning. Mags, our livestock guardian dog and an essential part of our farm team, is hard at work this time of year keeping our flock and new babies safe. You can tell he loves his job. Look at the smile on his face!

He’s a proud flock/family member (‘brother from another mother’ 😝) supporting and protecting every lamb born on the farm 🥰 Thanks Mags for everything you do! We love you buddy!

Thanks to everyone who came out to CVRD’s public meetings on Tuesday to discuss the draft agricultural zoning bylaw! The community feedback was unanimous and consistent with the feedback farmers provided to CVRD in summer 2023.

Don’t forget!… All residents of the CVRD electoral areas should complete both of the online surveys and the deadline is tomorrow, Friday, November 8th so don’t delay!
