We love our mud kitchen at Parkside ❤️
We would love more pots, pans, cooking utensils and any empty laundry soap jugs that have the push button dispenseron it! If you have any unwanted items that you would like to donate, we would love them! In fact we will even make you a mud pie to say thank you!

Tomorrow- Wednesday Feb 25th is Pink Shirt Day. Tomorrow we wear pink to remind us that kindness is always the answer 💕

Cairnsmore had a “wild” time last week exploring animals! 🦁 🐘 🦓 🦒

The children enjoyed a variety of sensory play offerings-

Sensory play for infants and toddlers—engaging sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch—is crucial for brain development, building neural connections, and fostering cognitive, motor, and emotional growth.
It enhances memory, language skills and problem-solving while allowing lots of fun 🤩

Did you know why our teacher set up the environments with lots of small world play senerios?
It’s not just for fun ..
Small world play is incredibly beneficial to children because it gives them a hands-on way to make sense of the world around them. Through small world play, children develop language and communication skills by telling stories, narrating actions, and negotiating roles with others. It also supports social-emotional development, as children act out feelings, relationships, and problem-solving scenarios, helping them process emotions and build empathy.

Just one of the many things our teachers do to consciously promote and engage learning and development with the children who we are so blessed to be with 💕
