Here’s the unfiltered truth about how this industry works: I get paid on VOLUME. I get paid by the stickers. The more stickers I put on the board, the closer I get to my tier bonuses.
Which means... I literally do not care if the dealership has to take a loss to make a deal happen.
My goal is to hit my volume target. If the store has to give a car away at invoice or lose money on a deal just so I can put another sticker on the board, I will fight for every single dollar for you.

🚨 That $4,000 cheaper private-sale vehicle might not actually save you $4,000.
People see a vehicle on Facebook Marketplace or Kijiji for less than a dealership and think:
“Easy. I’m saving money.”
Sometimes you are.
But here’s the math people forget to consider.
🏪 A dealership price may include things like:
• Reconditioning
• A safety inspection where applicable
• Some form of warranty or consumer protection
• Someone accountable if there’s an issue
• Repairs needed to get the vehicle retail-ready
👤 A private sale generally doesn’t include those things.
So that $4,000 price difference can disappear pretty quickly if you need:
🔧 An independent inspection
🔧 Tires or brakes
🔧 Repairs you didn’t expect
🔧 Maintenance immediately after buying
🔧 And potentially no meaningful recourse if something goes wrong
BUT…
Private sales can absolutely work out.
If you know what you’re looking at, understand the vehicle, get the right inspection and know what questions to ask, you can find some great deals.
The mistake isn’t necessarily buying privately.
The mistake is buying privately without knowing what you’re getting into.

🛻 $500 BI-WEEKLY CAN GET YOU MORE TRUCK THAN YOU THINK.
If you’re shopping around the $500 bi-weekly range, you could be looking at something like a 2020–2021 Ram 1500 Classic with the 5.7L HEMI.
A proven truck platform, plenty of capability and a great fit for the Vancouver Island lifestyle.
And if you’re buying used, here’s something worth paying attention to:
Used Ram pricing has fluctuated more than some of its Ford and Toyota competitors.
That can create some interesting opportunities depending on the truck, mileage, condition and current market.
For Vancouver Island, I’m looking at:
🛥️ Towing your boat
🏕️ Camping and trailers
🪵 Getting out of town
🔨 Projects around the property
🚙 Having a truck that can actually handle what you use it for
And the 5.7L HEMI has a long track record in these trucks. With proper maintenance, high kilometres aren’t automatically a reason to walk away — condition and service history matter.
