I’m sad today.
Outside of personal stuff, I’m sad about what’s going on across the globe, and in our own backyard. So much that’s worth discussion, so much I’d love to devote more time to researching. It feels like we’re all collectively pouring from empty cups.

But what a privilege it is to endure a seasonal sadness in a comfortable and safe place. I don’t know, it’s hard to put this helplessness about everything into words. I guess now more than ever it’s worth supporting your local community spaces and businesses, give where you can, and for f**k sake, create something real!

This window is my favourite.

Heard we were sharing photos from 2016…
It was my first year out of college, still figuring out this whole photography thing while still working the same sh*tty job I had since I was 16. I felt stuck, stagnant, and other people’s successes felt like my failures. But come September, I’d move out to Halifax and start making connections with models and fellow photogs and start building the foundation of my creative identity. I met some cool people, fancied myself a concert photographer(still do lowkey), and I went to Mexico. But in truth, 2016 wasn’t a great year for me. I was processing a lot of trauma, which took form in intense anxiety and insomnia. It was a long road to feeling better, but I owe it to my 23 year old self for sticking it out and working hard despite how broken she felt. Here’s to 33 in a few short days ❤️‍🩹

I know in the grand scheme of social media that’s a tiny blip, but I never want to lose sight of why taking pictures is so fun for me. And why, despite the shadow banning, you’re all still here!

If you’re new here, hi! My name is Alora, and I’ve been photographing professionally for 10 years now. Outside of taking pictures, I love all things vintage, whimsical, and a little spooky. You’ll easily find me rummaging around the cursed items in a thrift store, tripping over roots in the forest, or over caffeinating myself in a cafe somewhere. All in the name of art!

Around here, we are s*x and body positive, without compromising on creativity no matter what your vision is! Be it portraits, bo***ir, or your wedding day, I want you to be excited about your photos!

I’m so so proud of how I’ve grown as an artist this last decade, and I can’t wait to see what the next 10 years has in store. Maybe we’ll even hit 2k in that time 🥴 thank you to every client, collab, and casual viewer that’s been here, I appreciate all of you! Until next year ❤️
