🌟 Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month! 🌟

This month, we’re celebrating the incredible work of **Occupational Therapists** and the important role they play in our healthcare community.

Occupational Therapists help people of all ages participate in the everyday activities that are meaningful to them — at home, at work, and in their communities. Whether supporting recovery, promoting independence, adapting environments, or helping people find new ways to do the things they love, their impact reaches far beyond the healthcare setting.

We are excited to share that we have been successful in receiving funding through the Office of Healthcare Professionals Recruitment (OHPR) Community Fund!

This funding is part of approximately $388,000 being provided to 23 organizations across Nova Scotia to support community-led initiatives that help attract, welcome and retain healthcare professionals and their families.

For the Digby area, this funding will help us continue creating opportunities for healthcare professionals to connect with our community, feel welcomed and supported, build relationships and establish long-term roots here.

We are proud to be part of this provincial initiative and grateful for the support that allows us to continue our work in making the Digby area a welcoming place to work, live and build a future.

Twenty-three organizations across Nova Scotia are receiving grants to help attract, welcome and retain healthcare professionals in communities throughout the province.

The funding will support a wide range of community-led initiatives, including cultural celebrations, settlement and welcome activities, networking and professional support. These projects are designed to help healthcare professionals and their families build connections, feel supported and establish long-term roots in Nova Scotia.
