Had a great time photographing these guys. I was worried. It was snowing, we were at a dog park with a dog and a toddler. Fun was had by all!!!

A few more from Dorothy, Alberta. The second place we hit up was a place called Rowley Northwest of Drumheller. It reminded me of a particular episode of Supernatural where the boys are stuck in a ghost town. It was also very late in the day, we were losing daylight and there was almost no one around. The place was made even creepier by having mannequins in almost all the windows. This blue house would have been awesome to explore inside. Although, my buddy and I did get a decent ghosting pic on the front veranda.

I went on a photography oriented roadtrip around Central Alberta this weekend. Welcome to Dorothy, Alberta! Home to what could be the most depressing looking playground on the planet. South East of Drumheller, Dorothy, orginally named after a girl who lived in the area was home to around 100 people, now home to something like 28 people. The little hamlet has been completely restored but still shows signs of its past with delapated barns and rusted out vehicles (more of those to come). Dorothy also has two churches. The one pictured, is Our Lady of Perpetual Dispair... or something. I was delighted to find it open and that inside reminding me of Ireland, was a picture of Irish Jesus! Although I was raised in a Christian household, all the pictures of Jesus I'd seen were of a middle eastern looking man. I get to Ireland and I see this blonde blue eyed Christ; hence why I call him Irish Jesus.

Meet my cousin Rachelle. She was the cool older cousin that I looked up to when I was a kid. I still do look up to her! She asked me to do some promo shots for a gig she's got coming up. She is incredibly photogenic and so easy to photograph. It was my pleasure, lovely!!

I went to my first powwow today. After spending 2 years in Europe, I learned a lot about different cultures, especially Irish and Scottish culture. When I got back to Canada I realised I hadn't a clue about the culture of these Canadians: The ones that were here first! These were a few of my favorites! #2018
