Every two minutes we snap more pictures than the whole of humanity did in the 1800s.
It’s estimated only a few million pictures were taken in the 80 years before the first commercial camera was introduced. In 1999, the peak of the film-camera industry, Kodak reported that people took around 80 bn photos. Nowadays it is very hard to estimate how many photos are taken annually, but here are some statistics for 2015. According to Benedict Evans, People share 730 bn photos per year on Facebook, 255 bn – on WhatsApp and around 22 bn – on Instagram. And don’t even get us started on Snapchat, Apple’s iMessage, WeChat and other small messaging and photo-sharing apps. We can only estimate that around 3 trillion of photos will be taken this year. “Apropos of this weekend’s weather, I think that hot drinks are in the ascendancy. I’ve started to see places really take pride and put effort into thinking about, reimagining, and improving on classic hot cocktails like hot toddies, hot buttered rums, and ciders. Rather than just pouring a shot of whiskey into hot water and honey, bars are looking to explore and expand on what heat does to flavor and how that can be harnessed for amazing results. I think that ideas like the Dead Rabbit’s absolutely sublime Irish coffee have really opened people’s eyes to what is something of an untapped market.”

Set Design
Sometimes a backdrop and silly lip and mustache props aren't enough. Sometimes you have to spice things up a bit with a whole set! We have made this happen a few times this last year, including a holiday party most recently! This corporate bash had a 'Totally Awesome 80's' them--what a dream.

For their custom set, they had a vision to recreate a particularly hideous living room from the Molly Ringwald classic Pretty In Pink. To make it happen, we created a completely custom backdrop, and transformed the floor with a black & white checkered cling. We threw in some themed decor, including an ugly floor lamp, 80's style pillows, and a throw blanket to go on the couch. The end result was fabulous, and guests loved it! Everyone thought the idea was so cool that not only did they take photos in the booth, but also OF the booth! And our clients looked amazing because of it. 😉
