It's Thanksgiving long weekend in Canada. Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating. Nothing says fall like a pie! In this case, a Pecan Almond pie.

Third and Final day in Kelowna BC; celebrated this guy's birthday today with a scrumptious lunch at the Home Block Restaurant and a wine tasting as well (thank you to Jess for our informative tasting).

Also visited Summerhill Pyramid Winery where I tasted three amazing Icewines 😋😋

Final stop where we had a great tasting experience and got some Reislings.

Ended our day with dinner where we had a wonderful Chicken Tangine (Moroccan) ~ amazing!

Discovered a wonderful local gem last evening
From when we first walked in, to our server (he should teach a master class on personable service), the vibe, and the meal ~ this restaurant and Chef Sung Ji Park do not disappoint!

~ Honey Garlic Crustini 😋 simply the best!
~ Gnocchi
~ Salmon wasabi
~ Tiramisu
~ Chocolate Mousse

Perfect Day 2 in the Okanagan.
Started our day off with a wine tasting ~ have to say it wasn't our best experience. Unfortunate.

However, our lunch at the Old Vines Restaurant in Quails Gate did not disappoint 😊 amazing service, scrumptious food, and great views. Did I say awesome service?? And the perfect burger!!

Next stop ~ an impromptu stop actually, that was our best experience of the day. Found an amazing Icewine and Syrah and met some awesome staff.

Next stop where we met Deanna who guided us through a tasting. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We found a great Reisling and Syrah here.

Next stop where we found two awesome Pinor Noir (s).

We are spending the weekend on the Okanagan, wine country. Starting with one of my favorite wineries in Kelowna ~ Mt. Boucherie Winery (best Reislings!). We also enjoyed a scrumptious lunch

Last stop of day one (the best, by far, Icewines ever).

There's nothing as good as a homemade muffin, like these GIANT Blueberry Lemon Muffins...
