Snow day safety tips. Start your vehicle early to warm up to optimal temperature. Remove all snow from vehicle surfaces. When it is snowing, turn on headlights manually to increase visibility from front and rear. Do not rely solely on automatic lights. Check wiper blades and top up washer fluid. Allow extra time for travel and slow down. Be considerate of new drivers on winter roads. When approaching emergency or stopped vehicles, move over and slow down.

Please note that while our office layout has changed slightly, our policy of restricting customer access to the workshop area remains in place for safety and insurance reasons. This policy allows our mechanics to focus on their work without distractions. We kindly request that all visitors respect our rules and signage, and take a seat to chat with Cindy at the front desk.

As the cold weather settles in like that one relative who never knows when to go home, make sure you’ve got all your safety gear packed for any on-the-road winter surprises. Snow, slush, freezing rain—Mother Nature likes to keep us guessing, so stay prepared. And remember: keeping your vehicle maintained during the winter months is just as important… unless, of course, you enjoy being stuck on the side of the road practicing your penguin shuffle.

Not every problem is a big problem—but it’s still a problem. Don’t wait until the day before a trip to get your vehicle serviced. And please, don’t wait until your mechanic starts a simple oil change to casually mention, “Oh yeah… the car’s been shaking, growling, and occasionally speaking in tongues.”

Plan ahead! Just like you’d tell your doctor all your mysterious aches and pains, make sure you tell your car’s “doctor” all its little complaints too. Be the voice your vehicle doesn’t have—because trust me, if it could talk, it would be yelling at you by now.

A well-maintained vehicle will love you longer, run happier, and stick around—kind of like a loyal old friend. And with the price of new vehicles these days, most of us can’t afford to trade in that friendship anytime soon. So treat your car with care this winter… it might just save you from being left out in the cold!
