Good morning & happy Monday from our garden goose! 🪿

Poor Anthem has been a very sick boy the past few days, suffering from Anaplasmosis for the second time in his life. (Tick borne illness.) 🤒🕷️

We are so thankful for our vet (AAH) and the caring staff and community at PRS for helping us get him through this. Anthems loving caretakers made me aware when he suddenly wasn’t acting like himself, so that I was able to get the vet out to do bloodwork and start treatment right away. We love our supportive barn fam, thank you all.🩸🩺

Sadly he is far from better yet. We are relieved that his temperature is back to normal with banamine on board, and that he was feeling good enough to eat a full meal for the first time in almost 2 days. Please keep our sweet boy in your thoughts as he goes through his 21 day doxycycline treatment! 💊😢

I apologize for the recent inactivity on our page and missed messages, we have been spending a lot of time away with our biggest kid, we hate seeing him under the weather. It’s especially stressful as they start to get older.🐴😭

July 1st will be his 21st birthday, and he’s going to be getting medicine twice a day. I’ll have to make him a horse cake this year to make up for it.🇨🇦🥲
