Our second graduate celebration for Friday, June 19th, is Joseph Panushe Mutakura, who is the second youngest child of Jenipher and Anos Mutakura. During his school days, Joe participated in a large variety of school sports, including football, volleyball, and track and field. However, his passion is basketball, and he has worked very hard year-round to become a force on the court and a leader on the team. He has helped this team earn conference and regional titles and placed fourth at Provincials in grade 10. This year, in his final basketball season, he helped lead this team undefeated into Provincials and earned bronze. Outside of school, Joe also plays club basketball in Saskatoon and was chosen this spring by Basketball Saskatchewan to play in their Senior All-Star Classic Tournament. Joe plans to attend the University of Saskatchewan this fall to do a four-year undergraduate degree and then apply to law school. Joe received the following Davidson School graduation academic awards of excellence for finishing 30-level courses with final marks above 90%-- English Language Arts A 30 and B30, Psychology 30, Physical Education 30, Law 30 (DLC), and Creative Writing 30 (DLC). He also received the Spirit of Sport graduation award for his passion and leadership on the basketball team throughout high school, as well as working with younger players and officiating. Joe received the following locally sponsored scholarships: the Davidson School SCC Scholarship, the Davidson Kinsmen/Kinette Scholarship, and the Dellene Church Law Office Scholarship. Joe is annoyed by slow walkers in the hallway—like bro moves (he says) and also people who make everything all about themselves. We wish you all the best, Joe!

Today, we share details for the next two members of the Grade 12 class, Xavier and Rule Chollack, who are the sons of Colette Dheilly and Jason Chollak.
Xavier joined us at Davidson School last spring. He has been a quiet but engaging presence, and we wish him all the best in the future. Rule also joined our school last Spring but returned to Dalmeny to play football this past Fall and is finishing his grade 12 program with the DLC. After graduation, Rule plans to enter the workforce.
