8 years ago, I opened the doors to Custom Hair Lounge 🤍

It wasn’t just a business…
it was a hope, a dream, and a vision that I could build something of my own
a place for clients to come, and something I could truly be proud of.

In the beginning, it was just me…
then I found Maddy, and everything started to take shape.
Then Lizzie came along… and from there, it just kept growing.

Slowly.
Not perfectly.
But with a lot of heart, a lot of risk, and a lot of belief.

And now… we’re 18.

Eighteen people who have helped turn this into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

Because this was never just about hair.
It became a family.
A team filled with sisters, daughters, cousins… people who support each other, grow together, and truly care.

I’m so unbelievably proud of what we’ve built.
And even more proud of who we’ve built it with.

To my team — you are everything to this place.
Every single one of you matters, and I wouldn’t be here without you.

And to my clients…
the ones who trusted me in the early days, who sat in my chair when this was just an idea,
and the ones who continue to walk through our doors now —
thank you.

You are the reason this exists.
You are the reason we’ve grown.
And you are the reason I get to do what I love every single day.

Opening our second location in Campbell River this year…
that was a moment I’ll never forget.
A moment that reminded me how far this has come from where it started.

8 years later… and I’m still so in it.
Still so grateful.
Still so proud.
