Time is running out!
Now’s the time to bring in your apples — the season’s winding down fast! Our last day for collection is November 1st, drop off at the regular time between 9-10. Gather up those bins and bring them in while you still can. Let’s make the most of the harvest before the press takes its final spin!

🍎 A Quick Note from the Press 🍏

Looks like Mother Nature’s planning to make it rain this Saturday 🌧 — so when you bring your apples and pears in, please use waterproof containers if you can. Cardboard turns to mush faster than an overripe pear, and we’d hate to see your fruit take a tumble before it hits the press.

📍 Drop-off is Saturday morning between 9:00 and 10:00.

Buckets, bins, totes or even laundry baskets are perfect for wet weather.

One more note — we’ll be missing one of our senior staff this weekend while they’re off volunteering in the community. We’re proud of them for giving back, but it does mean we’ll be training up some of our crew as we go. A little extra patience and grace from you will go a long way in helping us keep things running smoothly 🍏

🍐 It’s the pear-fect time to bring your fruit in! 🍏🍐

Did you know we’re pressing pears too? — but here’s the catch: they’ve got to be firm. The odd ripe pear is totally fine, but if most of them are overripe, they just turn into a slimy pear soup in the press (and believe me, no one wants that 😅).

So don’t let your pears go soft on you — bring them in while they’re still firm and crisp, and we’ll turn them into something juicy and delicious! ✨🍐

👉 PSA: We can’t accept rotting fruit. If fruit is spoiled, it may mean being turned around on pressing day. Thanks for keeping things fresh! 🙌

🍎🍐 Last weekend was a fantastic first pressing of the season! We loved seeing so many people come out to support us, and we’re excited to do it all again this week.

👉 Drop off your apples and pears Saturday morning between 9–10am at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds (directly across from Vanier Drive) and we’ll press them for you over the weekend.
