Fit Within came to be a couple years ago. While working as an RN, I was struck with a devastating back injury. The injury left me immobile, in immense pain, and unable to do what I love most- TRAIN.
Little did I know, my injury is what would be the spark to ignite the vision of Fit Within.
After trying everything I could- going to the doctors, wearing kinetic tape all over my body, carrying around my little doughnut pillow everywhere, to no avail- I started researching myself
I spent an average of 5-6 hours a day researching human movement and rehabbing my body.
I started using techniques such as meditation, deep breathing and hot and cold therapy,
And I incorporated a low inflammatory diet to help ease the pain.
Slowly but surely I recovered, and when I was finally able to walk again, I appreciated every step.
Not only did my injury teach me how not to take the little things in life for granted, it gave me the courage to go after what I really wanted- To help people the best way I knew how.

To me health isn’t just easing symptoms, health isn’t just exercising, or eating right, health is more than that. Health starts from the inside, it is recognizing that you are worth feeling good, and that you can feel good, despite your circumstances, despite where you are right now, you always have a choice. Choose to move, choose to eat right, choose to do things that make you feel good, to think thoughts that make you feel good, and act in ways that make you feel good.
