In June, the B.C. Government made a regulation change that ends FortisBC’s ability to offer rebates and incentives for gas equipment that’s less than 100 per cent energy efficient, including gas furnaces, boilers, combination systems, water heaters and fireplaces.

Customers can still continue to use gas and install gas appliances in their homes, however many gas rebates are only available for equipment that's installed with all paid invoices dated on or before December 31, 2023.
