This is the first wool hat I have ever painted. The idea of upcycling thrifted items by customizing them with my own creative designs has finally become reality!
I primarily used fabric medium mixed with acrylic and acrylic paint pens - Which are then heat set to ensure durability and water resistance. More to come!

This originally started with a completely different design. The pour technique I experimented with did not go according to plan. However, it led me to a new idea and I couldn't be happier with the result.
Sometimes when there's an expectation that isn't met, we become disappointed. But in turn, it can lead us to something even better! It's one of the reasons I enjoy experimenting and letting go of control. That way, I am led to the creation and beauty that wants to manifest - whether it's art, or life. Just have to trust, flow and let go. ☀️💖🌊🐉

The contrast between being lit from natural indoor lighting, direct sunlight and illumination from beneath - reveals its diverse and complex design.
