One detail we really like: the split landing off the parking pad. You can set the groceries down at waist height instead of hauling them up a full flight — it takes some of the steps out of the equation.
One of the largest laneway homes under construction in Burnaby right now. We kept it to a shed roof style to work within the height restrictions, with a balcony up top. There were BC Hydro power lines and a transformer to design around — the City permitted the sun deck to shift back so the two buildings could sit closer together.

CoreVal Homes is hiring a 1st Year Carpenter Apprentice / General Labourer — someone who shows up on time, works hard, and wants to learn the trade instead of just collecting a paycheque.
What you bring:
A strong work ethic, solid physical fitness, respect for the crew, a valid BC Driver's Licence, and legal authorization to work in Canada. Residential construction experience helps — attitude matters more.
What we bring:
$24–$28/hour depending on experience. Full-time, year-round work with overtime available. Hands-on mentorship from tradespeople who actually teach. And a clear path into skilled carpentry, site supervision, and project management.
All work performed to BC Building Code standards. Full PPE and site safety training provided.
