Hobnail glass pieces while varying in colour and size, are notable for the numerous symmetrical raised glass bumps covering the surface. These glass bumps are achieved by either blowing or by pressing during the glass making process. Hobnail glassware pieces have been popular since the Victorian times and are used mainly for decorative and kitchen purposes. While it is difficult to
identify the older pieces, the items made by Fenton in the 80s-90s are identified with a 8 or a 9 at the bottom. These glassware items are eye-catching, unique, and lively, if you know someone with an outgoing sense of style be sure to buy one as a gift for them!

Amberina Glass is a two-toned red and yellow gradient glass invented by Joseph Locke, in 1883. The glass technique involves adding gold during the heating process creating a chemical reaction that leaves beautiful vibrant hues. While all Amberina glass is highly sought after by collectors, the earlier additions made by the New England Glass Company are the most valuable. Amberina Glass is identified by its red and yellow gradient. The newer pieces 1950s to 1970s are identified by how it glows under a black light. Have fun shopping!
