I’m not near Minneapolis but I love the idea of this hat. I have purchased a copy of the pattern and will knit then wear in solidarity to those who are being I humanely rounded up or have lost their lives at the hands of these masked thugs.
You may have seen this already, but ICYMI (in case you missed it), here's the Melt the ICE Hat, created by .
The backstory:" In the 1940s, Norwegians made and wore red pointed hats with a tassel as a form of visual protest against N**i occupation of their country. Within two years, the N**is made these protest hats illegal and punishable by law to wear, make, or distribute. As purveyors of traditional craft, we felt it appropriate to revisit this design.
All proceeds from the sale of this pattern go to the LynLake community of businesses who will distribute the funds to those impacted by the actions of ICE."

First make of the year is something for me. I don’t wear a winter hat often, I usually just wear a headband if anything but I need something to wear over wet hair after swimming. Loved the challenge of the colour work and beautiful colour changes made by the Noro Silk Garden. The main colour black, Cascade 100% wool, helps the colours to pop.

🧶 The Game of Wool: Tom Daley Hosts Channel 4’s Groundbreaking New Knitting Competition
Olympic champion Tom Daley is trading diving boards for knitting needles in The Game of Wool, a brand-new competition series coming to Channel 4 later this year.
Set in the picturesque Scottish countryside, this feel-good format will feature 10 skilled knitters from across the UK as they battle through a series of creative and technical challenges. From intricate patterns to bold fashion statements, contestants will compete to earn the title of Britain’s first-ever TV knitting champion.
The show promises stunning scenery, crafty showdowns, and wholesome rivalry — and with Daley (a passionate knitter himself) at the helm, expect lots of heart and inspiration too.
❓Will you be tuning in to see who stitches their way to victory in The Game of Wool?

Latest addition to my
This was a long book at 723 pages but I loved every page. A sweeping tale of love, deceit and identity set in the 19th century Scotland. Ann-Marie MacDonald is one of my favourite authors.
