Tomorrow is National Indigenous Peoples Day! This takes place on summer solstice, the longest day of the year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

This year the Town of Cochrane is celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day at the Lions Event Centre from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Come for a day of culture, connection, music, dance and community celebration in honor or National Indigenous Peoples Day. The Library will be there showcasing our Indigenous resources.

There will be Indigenous market vendors, a drum circle, food, and more!

We are so excited to formally announce our official Sounds of Summer 2026 artist line up! From handpan music to country classics, this year's concert series will take you on a journey across genres like never before!

Over the next couple weeks, we're going to be introducing you to each of our artists, as well as announcing our official vendor partners for this year's series! This Sunday, June 21st is National Indigenous Peoples Day!

Come to the Lions Event Centre on June 21st from 10:00am to 4:00pm for a day of culture, connection, music, dance, and community celebration in honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day.

The Library will have a booth at the Lions Event Centre, where we will be showcasing out Indigenous Resources that we have availble to borrow.

It's Tuesday so it's time for another Pride Staff Pick of the Week! This week's pride book was chosen by Becca and she chose The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid!

Tomorrow, Tuesday June 16th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, is Inclusion Cochrane's monthly meeting!

Hosted on the third Tuesday of every month, this event is a welcoming drop in space for people of all ages and all disabilities, along with their families and caregivers.

Connect with others, share experiences, and learn about community resources. Each month features a guest speaker and supportive conversations in a safe and inclusive environment. This event is for individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and anyone wanting to learn more.

Calling all music lovers! Sounds of Summer is returning to the Cochrane Public Library, July 7th to August 11th!

This year's Sounds of Summer is bigger and better than ever! Featuring food trucks, an open mic night, and an all-new line up of local artists, the library is the place to be for music lovers of all ages.

This program is for parents with new babies and first-time parents. Having a new baby can be isolating, we want to help you connect with other parents! Swap stories and tips in a safe and comfortable environment.
