🌟 Volunteer Opportunity: Be Part of NOW 2026! 🌟
Are you a student in Grades 10–12 looking to make a difference this summer? Join us as a volunteer for Newcomer Orientation Week (NOW)!

Help welcome and support newcomer students (Kindergarten–Grade 12) as they learn about the Canadian school system and build confidence in their new environment.

What you’ll do:
🎲 Help run fun games and activities
🤝 Be a friendly peer, mentor, and role model
🌎 Support students as they build connections and feel at home

💡 Who we’re looking for:
• Students in Grades 10–12
• Newcomer experience is an asset
• Speaking another language is helpful (but not required!)

Today is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 💜
A reminder of the importance of respect, dignity, and protection for older adults in our community. Elder abuse can take many forms—often unseen—but together, we can help create a community where seniors feel safe, valued, and supported.
Let’s continue to look out for one another, start important conversations, and ensure every older adult is treated with the care and respect they deserve 🤍

We need your help 🤍
Our Senior Services programs offer a wide range of support to older adults in our community—from friendly visits and meal delivery, to light home supports, and connection programs. And right now, we’re looking for more volunteers to step in and make a difference.
Whether you have an hour a week or a bit more time to give, there are so many ways to support seniors who may be experiencing isolation or need a little extra help to stay independent at home.
If you’ve ever thought about giving back, this is a meaningful place to start. Let’s show up for the older members of our community—they’ve taken care of us, and now it’s our turn 💙
