Created in June of 2003 by Jesse Rayner, JCR Design Ltd. started as a sole proprietorship and has grown to a 9 employee Building Design Company.

Expertise

Located in Chilliwack, BC, JCR Design Ltd. provides professional building design for single family, multi-family, commercial, modular, agricultural, and industrial projects. We also provide renovation and addition design and drafting services. JCR Design Ltd. provides service throughout North America including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, California, Washington, and Alaska.

Services

JCR Design Ltd. provides building design services. We provide expert insight into building code requirements as well as local bylaw regulations. We use current software to provide professional drawings. This includes Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Adobe Photoshop and newly implemented artificial intelligence software. JCR Design Ltd. coordinates and applies for building permit applications land development applications, rezoning applications, variance applications and official community plan amendment applications. We coordinate all the consultants required and apply on your behalf to streamline the flow of information from the authority having jurisdiction and the consultants.

Implementation

JCR Design Ltd. takes pride in providing personal and professional services to builders, developers, manufacturers, First Nations, and sales teams. Attention to clear communication and correspondence is a key to our success. We work with an experienced team of consultants including, Architects, Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Civil Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Energy Modelling Consultants and Building Envelope consultants to provide a complete package for construction, permit, development, and financing applications.

We have teamed up with AMR Systems to provide survey services along with septic design. AMR also provide CPTED (Crime prevention through environmental design) consulting.

Applicants must be proficient at Revit;

Dimension drawings

Sheet layout

Conceptual plans

Preliminary design layout

Floor plan manipulation

Elevations

Cross sections

Create perspective drawings with color and landscape

Completing working drawings

Applicants must be able to reference the BCBC, do independent research and take instruction with minimal supervision and have their own transportation.

Compensation based upon experience
