YARD stands for youth activity resiliency development. Our goal here at YARD is to engage the youth within our community with fun, mindfulness activities.

This summer, we'll have a special focus on the importance of keeping oneself healthy during COVID-19

The YARD is getting funky today! 🎨 Come pour paint with us ☀️

🎨 The YARD is practicing mindfulness by painting rocks! 😌 While we explore creativity in a relaxing way, we are also having fun on a Friday! Come join us for arts and crafts, or socially distant games 🤪

The YARD is still running this Friday even though it may rain. We can socially distance inside the NLC and we have plenty of projects to choose from! DIY fabric face masks, journal making, glitter jars, and much more! We are ready for you! ☺️

Come beat the heat at the YARD! We have lots of water shooters, balloons, and sports stuff. Not into that? Come do arts and crafts at our table or play some card games! Hope to see you here! 🤪

Just a quick reminder, we hope everyone has been enjoying their long weekend! YARD will not be operating today, but we hope to see you on Wednesday!

We at the YARD program are happy to announce that we'll be operating again this summer!

Just like last year, we'll be splitting up the age groups for those who attend. Youth in grades five to seven are welcome to join us in the mornings from 10am to 12:30pm, and those in grades eight to 10 can stop by between 1:30 and 4pm.

We are taking precautions and social distancing in every way we can, with physical contact limited and by providing gloves and masks for those who want them!

We at YARD understand the difficulties that COVID-19 presents, as well as how hard it can be for some youth to go without seeing their peers. Our goal this year is to educate youth on the importance of social distancing as well as helping them find that balance between friendships and staying safe!

We hope to see you here at CSS next Monday, July 20th!
