My first time shooting at St Ann’s Academy, the most beautiful church in Victoria. We did a mix of editorial and candid/documentary shots for their portraits and throughout their day, and I’m officially obsessed (🤞🏻 for more weddings like this in 2026/27)

these two travelled from the island so they could have mountains in their photos (without hiking) and I think we succeeded

their wedding this September can’t come soon enough 🫶🏻

there’s nothing more fulfilling as a photographer than having a couple who is feeling nervous before a shoot tell you how much fun it was at the end of it

before a shoot i will always reassure you that i’ll do whatever i can to make it feel less awkward, but i’m sure it can be hard to take my word for it because *of course* i would say that

that’s why it’s so important to look at other people’s experiences of working with a certain photographer before booking

j+g were one of these couples - in their inquiry, following emails, and even at the beginning of the shoot they expressed their nerves about being in front of the camera

i made sure we spent some time chatting and becoming familiar with one another, and slowly eased them into it with some silly prompts and movement poses

the shoot flew by, and by the end it was so easy for them - i could tell they stopped thinking so much about the camera and were just enjoying the scenery and being together

a huge part of getting those jaw dropping images you want to hang on your wall is just being able to embrace the experience and fully put yourself into
