Big moment for Project AIM this week.

Our founder, Miel Bernstein, was in Victoria to meet at the Legislature with the Minister of Gender Equity to talk about menstrual and incontinence equity across British Columbia.

This is what community work can do.

What started as people helping people here in the Fraser Valley is now part of a provincial conversation about dignity, access, and basic human rights.

Because that’s what this is.

Period and incontinence products are not optional. They are essential. And too many people are still going without.

We’re incredibly grateful to MLA Blatherwick for making space for this conversation and for the work she’s doing to move equity forward in real, tangible ways.

And to our community, supporters, and volunteers: this is your impact too.

Every donation, every delivery, every conversation is helping push this work further than we ever could alone.

We’re just getting started.

At times, people enter our lives who show the love and affirmation we didn't know we needed. I consider myself fortunate to have numerous such individuals in my life. I invested considerable effort into crafting this vessel. Although it may not be flawless, it possesses a unique perfection in its imperfections. This nuno felted vessel showcases a combination of wet felting techniques and the incorporation of diverse fabrics and fibers, including wool, banana silk, repurposed silk, cotton, and flannel, each holding significant meaning. The dragonfly ornament is a result of wet and needle felting using wool and banana silk. The dragonfly's wings are crafted from ice dubbing and a ziplock bag that I fused together, featuring an armature that allows for adjustability. The antennae were carefully fashioned by twisting coordinating wires around a toothpick to make curls. I hope that my friend will treasure this piece and understand the depth of gratitude I feel towards her.💜💜💜

On this day, as I acknowledge what would have been my mother's 89th birthday. Her passion for flowers was evident in the beautiful garden she maintained in Sidney, where I spent my childhood. The art vessel I have created, named CLAIRE, is a representation of the various flowers she cherished, including pansies, violas, columbine, iris, and crocus. This is still a WIP

Whether it’s cradling a wild air plant, safeguarding your favorite jewelry, or acting as a landing spot for your keys, Lydia adds a touch of organic warmth to any nook.
​Crafted from 100% Corriedale and Merino wool, each pod is built layer by layer over a handmade resist. Through a rhythmic process of wet felting—using only olive oil soap, vinegar, and hours of patient hand-rolling—the fibers bond into a seamless, sculptural form.
​Note: This is an artisanal object, not a toy. Please keep away from curious pets and small children.
