The Indigenous Peoples Guide is a resource to support newcomers in learning about the history of the Upper Fraser Valley and the different Indigenous peoples that have called this land home since time immemorial. This guide helps newcomers in Chilliwack learn about the first people of the traditional territories of the Ts’elxwéyeqw and Pil’alt Tribes. It aims to build understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities and highlights the peoples’ rich history, diverse cultures, and contemporary realities.
To access the Indigenous Peoples Guide, email LIP staff at [email protected]
