Let's take a few minutes between winter storms to chat about prepping for sheltering in place during a power outage.

❄ replenish gas in jerry cans and vehicles
❄ charge phones, battery packs, and power banks
❄ set your thermostat a little higher while power is still on
❄ test your generator (OUTDOOR USE ONLY)
❄ have extra blankets on hand
❄ replenish canned goods and drinking water
❄ prepare enough food to last 72 hours
❄ fill your bathtub and water bottles
❄ freeze containers of water to store in your fridge to keep food cold
❄ bring pets inside
❄ close curtains at night to keep heat in
❄ avoid candles, if possible
