Entrepreneurship can feel heavy sometimes.

There are weeks where the responsibility of it all feels bigger than the joy of it, and this week was a bit of a roller coaster.

I spent most of my Saturday in the studio cleaning, organizing and trying to put a few things back in order. And somewhere in the middle of that, I was reminded how grateful I am for the work I get to do.

I really believe we’re all called to serve in some way; to use the gifts, abilities and opportunities we’ve been given for something beyond ourselves. INDEX is one of the places I get to live that out.

Design may look like finishes, floor plans and beautiful spaces from the outside, but at its best, it’s service. It’s listening well, solving problems, caring about how people live, and using what I know to make someone’s home or business work better for them.

Sometimes serving feels heavy. Sometimes running a business feels heavy.

And still, what a gift to be able to use the talents God has given me to do work I genuinely love.

Tonight I’m leaving tired, but very grateful … grateful for this space, for the people who trust me, for the work in front of me, and for the opportunity to keep building something with purpose.

Happy weekend friends.

It’s easy to collect individual things you love, a paint colour, a light fixture, a saved image.

But loving each piece on its own doesn’t always mean they’ll work together or create a home that truly serves you.

When inspiration starts to feel more overwhelming than exciting, it may be time for help connecting the pieces.

A designer brings clarity to the process, creating a home that feels cohesive, personal and right for you.

Looking for design inspiration?

Our Residential Portfolio is more than a collection of beautiful homes, it’s a glimpse into the lives, personalities, and stories behind each space.

If you’re considering a renovation or new build, we’d love for you to take a look.

A new kitchen. Beautiful cabinetry. Thoughtfully selected hardwoods.

These are often the investments we plan for when building a new home or taking on a major renovation.

But the part that quietly transforms a house into a home?

The furnishings.

The sofa where your family gathers every evening. The dining table that hosts birthdays and holiday dinners. The artwork, textures, lighting, and layers that tell your story and make a space feel unmistakably yours.

When I first started INDEX Design Studio, furnishings were something I often stepped away from. I thought my role ended once the renovation was complete.

Over the years, that perspective has completely changed.

The deeper I’ve become involved in my clients’ homes, the more I’ve realized that furnishings aren’t the finishing touch. They’re the piece that brings everything to life.

They’re what protect the investment you’ve made in your renovation by ensuring every decision works together as one cohesive vision. They create warmth, comfort, personality, and connection. They turn beautifully designed rooms into homes that truly reflect the people who live there.

It’s become one of my favourite parts of the design process.

Because seeing a project all the way through, right down to the final pillow, the perfect chair, and the styling that makes a room feel lived in, is where the magic happens.

At INDEX, we don’t just design beautiful spaces.

We help create homes that feel like you.

As always, nature is quietly influencing what’s to come in my designs.

Welcome summer. I’m so glad you are here.

I spend so much time seeing what’s not done yet.
The next project. The next phase. The next idea.

But then there are these quiet moments;
fresh branches on the counter, morning light hitting just right when I can finally see it differently.

Not as a work in progress…
but as a home that’s already come so far.

Big branches. Always.

Spring gives you endless options…
but I’ll find something in every season. This home was styled in late August an we foraged the property for the perfect branches.
