Now that I have your attention.....
I could claim that they came when they were called, IF I named them all 'breakfast'!!!

Spotlight on the BUCKLINGS!
They don't all turn out like a herdsperson would like, but there are some nice meaty looking bucklings in this group.

We love playing with numbers!!!
Black & white, measurable statitics means the 'heart' factor is taken out of the equation.
WE HAD A 235% HERD KIDDING PERCENTAGE!!! WOW!!!
I look forward to doing each doe when I get a chance, see if we had any 'slackers'!!

One of my personal pet peeves is sh*tty little hooves in the eating spaces. We work very hard to figure out ways to prevent and discourage feet in the feeders, yet, here she is, with that smug look on her stupid little face.
OK, OK, she's a cute little stinker and she's making me think of how this can be prevented in the future as well.
Looks like we're moving the mineral feeders to another spot.......

Chaos in the creep feed room. It took some tweaking but finally got it so the little buggers keep their feet out of the feed trough. We are two weeks out from weaning and we think they have eating the calf starter down pat!
Here's a challenge, there are 24 kids in total, how many are in the creep feed room at once?? LOL

The kids continue to grow like bad weeds, starting to help put a dent in the hay mangers and tear it up playing morning& night chore times! We have a couple options for a buckling to keep for ourselves, tough choices there, and way too many doelings. I know, we're not going to get much sympathy with those kinds of problems.
The buck change up last season was the right step, we made some significant improvements over all, not just several standouts.

The kids are coming on to three weeks now and being very, very busy. Starting to eat hay and creep feed, abit.
Strong on doelings this year 16:9, and lots of really impressive kids, which is going to make culling really heartbreaking this fall.
Got some dappled heads and a couple brown with white bands as well. We used three different bucks and are happy with the kids from all three.
