Pain changes posture 🌀 the spiral of dysfunction!

When I first observe a horse, I watch them walk into the treatment area, how they’re stood, how they interact and I scan over their body - what isn’t normal?

One of the first things I normally see is weakness/atrophy/lack of muscle.

In this case, lack of muscle in the neck only was linked to reduced neck range of motion. Associated back soreness was linked to reduced functionality of the nuchal ligament.

The most effective, non-invasive way to reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing of the joint to facilitate improved range of motion (and therefore muscle development!) was my INDIBA Radiofrequency.

I then followed up the treatment with decompression mobilisations, to reset and create a more relaxed neutral posture of the neck.

You can then see how the pinching of the vertebrae transforms into a more relaxed open angle, and the wither lifts, taking the strain off the interspinous ligament.
