Out with the old and in with the new!
I got rid of the old MP2 EXT and dropped in a new one! The wheel build looks much better than on previous orders and shipping was less than a week!
After about 5 years and 3 bikes the old motor was suffering from axle wrap. The axle had separated from the stator causing the stator to move under hard acceleration, thus wrapping the phase and hall cables around the axle.
I can't complain, it's been running at 72v from day one and that's really the only issue I've had with the motor itself. Unfortunately it's a critical failure until I can machine a keyway in there somehow. 😉

Retro 2000's MacKenzie Vincente.
We gave it some love with a new front end, disc brakes, hollowtech bb and a MPIII converted to external controller. It will be running a Phaserunner, but haven't decided on a bolt on Shark/Whale Battery or go a little more custom and make room for a larger triangle battery!

New motor laced!

120km loop starting at the Cambridge to Paris Rail Trail, then Paris to Brantford and Brantford to Hamilton Rail Trails. Then, the brutal Lafarge 2000 before the road ride home.
