MYTH: “I’m shedding a lot, so I should wash my hair less.”
This is one of the most common misconceptions I hear from clients.
When you’re experiencing increased shedding, washing your hair is not causing the hair loss.
In fact, the hairs you’re seeing in the shower have already detached from the follicle weeks or even months ago. What you’re seeing now is simply the release phase of the hair growth cycle.
I often explain it like this: if a hair is ready to shed, it’s going to shed whether you wash your hair or not.
Avoiding washing doesn’t stop the shedding. It simply delays the hairs from releasing.
Meanwhile, oil, product residue, sweat, and dead skin can continue building up on the scalp, creating an environment that may not be ideal for healthy growth.
A healthy scalp is the foundation for healthy hair.
That’s why one of my goals is always to support the scalp environment while addressing the reason the shedding started in the first place.
This is also why I use and recommend CRLAB products. They are designed to support scalp health, help strengthen stressed follicles, and create an environment that supports healthier, stronger hair over time.

Just returned from my first Owners Meeting in Rome, and what an incredible experience it was!
We spent the week learning about exciting updates across the brand, including new packaging, enhancements to the trichology product line, innovative spa head equipment and products, and upcoming software improvements designed to elevate both the client and clinic experience. There was also a lot of valuable discussion around CNC Hair and the future of hair replacement solutions.
One of the highlights was connecting with fellow owners from around the world, hearing their experiences, sharing ideas, and learning what’s working in their clinics. The collaboration, support, and passion within this community were truly inspiring.
Beyond the meetings, we had the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Rome and participate in team-building activities that made the experience even more memorable.
I came home with new knowledge, new connections, and an even greater appreciation for this amazing line and the people behind it.

“Shampoo and washing your hair too often are bad for your scalp.”
FALSE.
One of the biggest myths I hear is that washing your hair too often causes hair loss or damages your scalp. In reality, proper cleansing is an important part of maintaining a healthy scalp environment.
Throughout the day, your scalp collects pollution, sweat, excess oil, product residue, and dead skin cells. When these build up over time, they can contribute to irritation, inflammation, and an environment that isn’t ideal for healthy hair growth.
A healthy scalp needs balance.
Using a scalp-friendly shampoo helps remove excess sebum and buildup while supporting the scalp barrier. This is especially important because excess oil can contribute to an overgrowth of unwanted yeast and bacteria on the scalp.
